We’re looking for an experienced, full-time tech lead to join the growing creative team of our client in Amsterdam. They are an award-winning digital agency and Europe’s leading Shopify Plus partner. They focus on strategy, design, development and data analysis in the e-commerce industry, with a client base of international fashion, lifestyle and beauty brands. They are located smack down in the middle of Amsterdam. Working here means working in the historic heart of the city and all its magical moments. Enjoying the Foodstands with collegues in your lunchbreak, going to one of the beautifull parcs after work together, or when it is possible ice skating on the moats of Amsterdam right in front of the office door. Job description

As a tech lead, you have the opportunity and responsibility to define the development vision of Ask Phill. You’ll take the lead in multiple projects simultaneously and ensure the consistent delivery of successful projects. You’re able get the best out of all the team members and take responsibility for the team’s output.

The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work and gets excited about leading a tech team. You love collaborating, but also have the confidence to tackle high-level tasks on your own. You’re interested in the current e-commerce landscape and have an innovative and creative mentality. You deliver exceptional e-commerce experiences with ease and have the confidence to make justified recommendations for development work. 

Most importantly, you’re extremely passionate about coding, with a strong work ethic and an extraordinary attention to detail and precision.

React, GraphQL, Shopify storefront API,  headless CMS (Contentful), HTML, CSS and Liquid.

Job requirements 

• Extensive Javascript knowledge (ES6), React, Git and GraphQL
• Proven management skills in previous teams
• A high level of dedication
• Pixel perfect development
• Capable of leading a development team and setting the vision
• Can estimate and deliver work on time and within budget
• Up to date with industry development  trends and tools
• Superb communication, organisation and time management skills
• An eagerness to improve your own development knowledge and ability

• Previous work within a variety of agile development teams and processes
